PLANNED GIVING

What is Planned Giving?

Planned giving or legacy giving allows you to make gifts to The Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless from your estate, meaning you can make a gift today that will make a difference tomorrow. There are many options available, often with significant tax advantages and/or opportunities to increase current or future income. A planned gift can be in the form of cash, appreciated securities/stock, real estate, artwork, partnership interests, personal property, life insurance, or a retirement plan. The benefits of funding a planned gift can make this type of charitable giving very attractive to both donor and charity.

How can I make a Planned Gift to the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless?

The most common way to make a planned gift is to designate the Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless as a beneficiary in your will. Other options are designating the Elizabeth Coalition as a beneficiary of your retirement plan or life insurance policy. There are other, more complex ways of setting up a legacy gift. For any of these options, we advise you to speak with your lawyer or financial planner, who can provide options best suited to your unique needs.
